Airlines like Delta and American have been giving customers a great app experience when using their airlines. The apps have become very personalized, allowing customers to book their flight, check in, and even pick their in-flight meal. One weakness in the airline experience is the carts that go up and down the aisles of the plane. There is no use of the aisle when the cart is in use, which could last 30 minutes or longer. The app could get rid of this problem by having the customer order their drink and food choice from the app at their seat. This eliminates the need for the stewardess to take the cart down the aisle and ask every person if they would like something. This causes a waste of time, inefficiency, and disruptions for the guests. Airlines might be implementing this and other evolutions in the future to make the overall experience better for everyone.
